To help build a healthier matchmaking pool, we have updated our crossplay rules to bring more PC and console players together:

• PC players will now mix directly with console players who have crossplay enabled.
• Console with Crossplay On: Console players will now match directly with PC players in a unified pool. (Note: - If you are a console player who plays with friends on PC, you were already playing in this mixed pool. This update simply makes it the standard experience for crossplay-enabled players.)
• Console with Crossplay Off: Console players will continue to match exclusively with players on their same platform.

We initially took a cautious opening approach to Ranked by separating PC and console players into different matchmaking pools, because we know crossplay brings up natural questions about input balance.

However, looking closely at our competitive tournament history, including our recent Cash Cups, we consistently see all input types placing well and competing at the highest levels. This includes squads made up of all Controller players, all Mouse and Keyboard players, and mixed players. Ranked BR was the only experience in the game that maintained this strict platform split.

The goal with these changes is to bring more players together, which means faster match queues and fewer high-ping and cross-region lobbies. To experience better matchmaking, we highly recommend all players to turn on crossplay.

We'll be closely monitoring match telemetry and input balance (Mouse & Keyboard vs. Controller) to ensure the playing field remains fair, including making adjustments if we see any unhealthy trends. Please let us know your thoughts and share any feedback as you play.

Based on player feedback, we have updated the neutral vehicle spawn on Vegas Strip in Conquest, replacing the Attack Helicopter with a Transport Helicopter to improve match balance.

Hey Soldier,

In September, Season 4 was well underway. We added a lot of new detection vectors related to pivots from cheating communities. These helped stabilize the infection rates for the title as we prepare for more significant enhancements to be deployed with coming updates.
